Rancho El Amate

The Fig, Ficus insipida, who gives the name to the agroecological farm, El Amate, where I stayed with Fabiola and her daughters.

This family converted what was once an empty field of grass to a flourishing ecosystem, welcoming back the wildlife and opening their doors to those who want to turn their fingers green and learn the ways of agroecological farming. Read more about my time at the farm here.

Fine liner pen and watercolour.
